Easter Week Events

Palm SUnday

Join us for Palm Sunday worship services at Brandon First Methodist Church on April 13th, 2025, this will mark the beginning of Holy Week with a celebration of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. This day will be filled with vibrant worship, reflective moments, and the waving of palm branches as the congregation remembers and honors this significant event in the Christian faith.

All are invited to join in this special time of worship, as the church gathers to honor Jesus as King and to prepare for the solemn observances of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday. This is a wonderful opportunity for both newcomers and long-time members to come together in faith and celebration.

Holy Thursday

Join us for the Holy Thursday worship service at Brandon First Methodist Church on April 17th, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the sanctuary. This solemn service will commemorate the Last Supper, where Jesus gathered with His disciples to share a meal, offer teachings, and establish the sacrament of Communion.

All are invited to come to this special time of worship as we prepare our hearts for Good Friday and Easter. It will be a time for deep reflection, prayer, and connection with the profound love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

Good Friday

Join us for a powerful and reflective Good Friday worship service at Brandon First Methodist Church on April 18th, 2025, at 6:00 PM in the Family Life Center. This service will center on the solemn remembrance of Christ’s crucifixion and His ultimate sacrifice for humanity.

The service will invite us to pause and reflect on the depth of God's love and the significance of Jesus' death on the cross.

Living Cross Decorating

We're inviting families to help decorate our stunning living cross with beautiful flowers. This will be a special spot for families to take memorable pictures in front of.

Decorating Date: April 19th at 9:30 AM.
We’d love to have your help in making this a beautiful display!

Crawfish Boil

Come join us for our Annual Crawfish Boil on Saturday, April 19th at 11:30 AM in the Education Building parking lot! It’s sure to be a great time of food, fun, and fellowship for the whole family.

We’ll have plenty of crawfish for those who love it, and we’ll also provide alternative food options for anyone with shellfish allergies or those who simply don’t enjoy crawfish.

To help cover the cost of the crawfish, we kindly ask for donations. Your support is greatly appreciated!

For the little ones, we’ll have bounce houses to keep them entertained while you enjoy the food and company.

We can’t wait to see you there for a fun-filled day of good food, great people, and exciting activities!

Easter Sunday

Join us this Easter Sunday as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior! We have a variety of worship services designed to suit everyone, so bring your family and friends for a memorable day of praise and reflection.

6:30 AM - Sunrise Service
Start the day with us at our beautiful outdoor sunrise service on the front lawn of the church. As the sun rises, we will gather together in worship and celebration of Christ’s victory over death. Be sure to bring your lawn chair and join us for this special and meaningful service.

8:30 AM & 10:45 AM - Traditional Worship Services
Our traditional services will take place in the sanctuary, featuring timeless hymns and a powerful message. Whether you’re a longtime member or visiting for the first time, we invite you to experience the rich tradition of our Easter celebration.

9:00 AM & 10:45 AM - Modern Worship Services
For those who prefer a contemporary worship experience, join us in the Family Life Center for our modern services. With uplifting music and a message that speaks to the heart, these services offer a vibrant and engaging way to celebrate the hope of Easter.

No matter which service you choose, we are excited to gather together as one community to honor the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We look forward to seeing you on Easter Sunday!

Easter for kids

On Palm Sunday, April 13th at the start of each service, the kids will come in carrying beautiful palm branches, symbolizing the crowd’s warm welcome of Jesus as He entered the city. This moment serves as a powerful reminder of the significance of this day in our faith and marks the beginning of Holy Week.
Get ready for a fun-filled Easter celebration! Join us on Saturday, April 19th at 11:15 AM for our exciting Easter Egg Hunt. It's a great time for kids and families to come together, enjoy the thrill of the hunt, and make lasting memories.

Be sure to bring your Easter basket as you search for colorful eggs scattered around. And keep an eye out for the Golden Egg hidden in each age group, there's a special prize for the lucky finder!

Parking
Main Parking Lot: For those attending Traditional Worship, please park in the Main Parking Lot on campus.

Rankin County Circuit Court Parking Lot: For those attending Modern Worship, please park in the Rankin County Circuit Court parking lot at 301 East Government Street, Brandon, MS 39042. A shuttle bus will be available to transport you to the campus. If you have mobility or handicap concerns, you may park in the Education Building Parking Lot for easier access.

Additional Parking: Public parking is also available throughout downtown Brandon.
Child Programming
Ages 0-3yr
Our Nursery is located in the Main Building adjacent to our Main Lobby. Check in begins at 8:15am, and pick up ends at 12:00pm.

Pre-K - 3rd Grade
We will not be having Children's Church on Easter Sunday
Sunday School
There will be no Sunday School classes meeting on Easter Sunday.
Photo Opportunity
As you join us in worshiping the Risen Savior, we invite your family to take a moment to capture the occasion by taking a photo in front of our Living Cross, located in front of the Sanctuary. It's a beautiful way to commemorate this special time together!
